The following rules are applicable to many variations of poker and to online poker tournaments.
 
The possible combinations are the following, in increasing order of value, in European poker:
• Pair - Two cards of the same value (E.g.: (A-A) or (10-10); in case of pairs having the same value, it’s calculated the sequence of the other cards.
 
• Double pair Two pairs (E.g.: (A-A)+(9-9) or (J-J)+(10-10); in the first case is a pair of aces, in the second a pair of jacks; wins the player with the pair having the highest value, in case of an identical value, the second pair is considered, then the value of the fifth card.

• Trip - Three cards with the same value (E.g.: AAA, JJJ, 777).
 
• Flush - A sequence of cards in order of value (e.g.: 7,8,9,10,J or 10,J,Q,K,A); between two flushes, the highest wins.

• Full - Combination of a trip and a couple (e.g.: AAA,88 or 999,KK), among two or more fulls, the higher is the one with the higher trip (e.g.:. JJJ,77 wins on 999,AA).

• Color - 5 cards of the same suite. Between two colors, the one having the best sequence is the one having the best value; with an identical sequence, the value is given according with the following order: Harts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades.

• Poker - 4 cards with the same value (e.g.: 9999J or QQQQ8). Wins the highest combination of cards.

• Royal Flush - – Flush with five cards of the same suite. Even if it’s the best hand in poker, it’s not absolutely unbeatable, because there is also the possibility of the rare case of one or more royal flushes.
